I know firsthand what it takes to build a successful audio career.
I've built two multi-six figure post-production companies, delivered professional sound design and final mix to hundreds of clients in award-winning film, episodic, and documentary projects. I’ve mentored scores of interns, college graduates, and young professionals to do the same.
I’ve worked in post-production audio for over 25 years,
delivering audio for everything from Sundance Film Festival award winners, larger studio films, Netflix-streaming series, to music documentaries and video games.
(Grand Theft Auto anyone!)
I’ve traveled the world to mix with international teams, screened our projects at Cannes, spoken at film festival Q&A’s, and won a Grammy for Best Sound Comedy Album in 2015.
Over the years, I’ve developed a reputation for teaching things “hands on”.
I’ve worked with audio enthusiasts from every background, helping them develop sound editing, sound design, and mixing skills, so they can fast-track their careers and start generating income.
Because the truth is, no matter how good college courses can be, no one is teaching these hands-on, professional level, in-the-studio skills in college programs!
I know because my interns tell me exactly that!
Implementing smarter systems & workflows didn't just give people a one-time boost in productivity, speed or quality...
It turned our entire intern program into a learning machine turning out professionals ready to work in the industry.
People who interned and trained with me have gone on to land high level professional jobs at top companies including Rockstar Games, Warner Brothers, Spotify, Sony, Playstation, just to name a few.
Once my network saw how effective and successful the training was — they wanted to send more candidates my way. So, they kept referring others, over and over, which was awesome!
But as I got busier & the more interns I had to say “no” to, I started noticing one big problem…
When I wasn't available to take on interns, teach or mentor all the candidates, people stopped getting the training they needed to break into the industry.
Which also meant their careers stalled too!
But wait up….
I knew I could build my own business AND help others achieve their goals.
If I could teach more people how to operate at a professional LEVEL, they could quickly improve their technical abilities and continue to build their careers without waiting to work with me one-on-one.

The focus began to shift from how can I take on more interns? To, how can I share more pro skills and techniques with a larger audience, so more people can get the results they’re after?
And still be able to grab some surf time!
